Founded in Florence in 1953, Jolly Caffè, was the brainchild of its founder, Dante Belardinelli. Since the beginning, the company’s mission has been to create
an Espresso blend of incomparable excellence with a distinctive sensory profile that is constant over time.
Jolly Caffè considers real Italian Espresso culture to be a matter of vital importance. It nurtures it by paying careful attention to the quality of its blends, providing professional training for bar tenders in cafes and restaurants, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Jolly Caffè has always been active in promoting and safeguarding the quality of blends and espresso. As early as 1989, Jolly Caffè was one of the founders of the “Coffee Bar Roasters Consortium” – since 1992 the “Grancaffè Consortium ” – a group of the eleven highest quality roasters in the country.
Ahead of the times and fashions, over 20 years ago, in 1993 Jolly Caffè began its collaboration with the “International Institute of Coffee Tasters” (IIAC), to define a profile of ‘quality’ coffee; at the time, neither a definition of Italian espresso, nor a scientific method of describing its technical and sensory characteristics existed yet.
Consistently focused on quality as an integral part of its corporate values, Jolly Caffe’ in 1998 became a founding member of the National Italian Espresso (INEI), established as non-profit organization to defend and promote Italian espresso in Italy and in the world. To this end, it was instrumental in obtaining the UNI EN ISO 9000 certification for roasted coffee beans and ground coffee.
Jolly Caffè’s intense and dedicated effort was rewarded by being the first Italian company to be granted the Espresso Italiano Certificato (Italian Espresso Coffee Certificate) mark for its espresso coffee blend.
The tradition continues, and to this day Jolly Caffè is still actively involved as a founding member of the Institute of EIC (Excellencies Italian Certificate), which brings together the “Made in Italy” companies of excellence.

Our coffee is the finest expression of Italian Espresso
We purchase our own selection of coffee beans, and by careful roasting, transform them into fragrant crunchy grains, which are then entrusted to expert hands to be ground and tampered. The fine powder is then extracted by an espresso machine. You will find that each of our products contains a quality blend, and that every cup is a captivating sensory experience with an unmistakably distinctive taste.
